Fun bar with fun and friendly bartenders. The drinks were moving out tonight as I sat down to read through a bunch of emails before heading up to my room. I ordered a drink called the Pink Ranger which was nice and refreshing (a gin-based drink). A couple came in after me and sat down and started chatting. They told me about these lemon cookies they make and they decided to order some and offered me one. It was sooo good. Not a snappy, dry cookie, but rather a somewhat soft, melt-in-your-mouth cookie. I'm going to grab some on the way out tomorrow when i check out of my room. Friendly staff and comfy chairs too.

Not very busy when we walked up, yet none of the 4 people behind the bar greeted us or asked for our orders. Finally one of the bartenders, who was engrossed in conversation with another couple at the bar, told the other bartender to help us. By that time, another girl had walked up next to me to order. When the bartender asked if we were altogether and I said no, he helped her even though I'd been standing there at least 5 minutes before her. When he finally came back to us and my friend asked about a drink, he answered then walked down to the end of the bar to help another customer without saying anything or asking if the rest of us were ready to order. We walked off at that point and decided to take our business elsewhere.

I spent almost a week at Aloft, and ate at WXYZ twice. Both dishes were amazing. Definitely try the chicken bebe. The aged white cheddar makes it so good!
